Itinerary
 

DAY 1: ARRIVAL CAIRO

Arrive at Cairo, where you will be met by our representative who will help you with your immigration and customs formalities. Later you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight

DAY 2: CAIRO

Breakfast, then start your sightseeing by visiting the Pyramids of Giza. Cheop’s Pyramid, the largest of the three, was built in the 3rd Dynasty about 2690 BC, and is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. In front of the pyramids of Chephren, we find the Sphinx carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a pharaoh’s head thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren. Have a camel ride by the pyramids area, then continue your tour visiting the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt’s Pharaonic period, which dates back some 50 centuries and includes the fabulous treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. Also visit the outstanding Mummy Room in the Museum. Afternoon excursions to Old Cairo, visiting the very old Coptic churches and the oldest Jewish Synagogue of Beni Ezra. Continue your tour by visiting the Citadel of Salah el-Din and the Mohammed Ali mosque and the medieval bazaars of Khan-el Khalili, where you can bargain for your jewelry and hand-tooled leather items. Return to your hotel for an overnight

DAY 3: CAIRO -MOUNT SINAI

After breakfast we will start our trip to Mount Sinai St.Catherine. The ride takes around 8 hours and we will provide lunch boxes during the trip. The hotels in St.Catherine area are about 2 km away from Monastery St.Catherine. Accommodation in a hotel. In the night around 22:00h, we will take a bus to the Monastery and from there together with Bedouin guides climb on to Mount Sinai or Jebal Musa ( the Mountain of Moses)- 2285 meters to attend the sun rise

DAY 4: MOUNT SINAI
 

Early in the morning coming down from the mountain after sunrise (different way not the same for climbing). Arrival in the Monastery area around 10 a.m. 5 min ride to hotel. Breakfast and day for rest. Lunch. During the day after rest transfer to Monastery St. Catherine (Up to a thousand visitors come to visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, the oldest continuously inhabited monastery in the World built on the site where Moses (Prophet Musa) talked to God in the miracle of the Burning Bush).Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: Mt. SINAI-PETRA

Breakfast. Around 9 a.m. We will start our road trip to Nuweiba – Aqaba. Transfer to Petra Site. Petra – one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites and today’s one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The 2,000 year old ancient city of Petra. Known as the red rock city, Petra was the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century BC to the 2nd century AC. Carved by the Nabateans out of solid rock, Petra was forgotten for hundreds of years until it was rediscovered in 1812. At the entrance to Petra travelers are offered the option to ride a horse for 800m – from the visitors center to the entrance of the dramatic “Siq” ( canyon). From the entrance to the Siq there is a 1,250 meter walk to the 1st monument “The treasury”. Throughout most of the day we will explore Petra’s incredible structures: the treasury, the field of tombs, the obelisks and the altar, and much more. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Petra

DAY 6: PETRA-BETHENY-MT. NEBO-MADABA
 

After breakfast, transfer to Bethany site, where John the Baptist is purported to have baptized Jesus. Than continue to the biblical Mt. Nebo which, believed to be the site of the tomb of Moses, commands a spectacular view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Drive to the biblical town of Madaba. Madaba is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics and for its Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Here we will view the earliest original map of Palestine. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Amman

DAY 7: AMMAN - JERASH - NAZARETH
 

After breakfast, visit Amman, a fascinating city of contrasts – a unique blend of old and new, ideally situation on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. The visit will include the fascinating Roman Theatre and Nymphaeum that reflect the historic legacy of the city, and the enchanting Citadel which has stood since the ancient times of the Ammonites.

Than drive to Jerash – A close second to Petra on the list of favourite destinations in Jordan, The ancient city of Jerash boasts an unbroken chain of human occupation dating back more than 6,500 years. It lies on a plain surrounded by hilly wooded areas and fertile basins. Conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities, the Decapolis League. Jerash, was known as the Pompeii of the east, and also known as the city of 1000 pillars, you will also visit the triple arched gate, the huge hippodrome, the theatre… crossing the border to the Holy Land. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.
 

DAY 8: NAZARETH - LAKE OF TIBERIAS - NAZARETH
 

A visit to Nazareth, another major site of biblical significance! Here you will explore not only the Basilica of the Annunciation, but also a synagogue and the « tomb of the Just » (an archaeological site looked after by the Sisters of Nazareth). Then you will move onto Lake Tiberias, one of the main places of Jesus’ activities including it being the place he called his first disciples. A day immersed in Biblical significance on the Galilee and on the shores of Lake Tiberias, it’s a fascinating journey through time, reuniting you with events that have shaped and will forever shape the history of our civilization. Around the lake you will visit the beautiful church of Tabgha which is remembered because of the miracle of the multiplication of loaves, and the Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum, with the house of St. peter. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Nazare

DAY 9 : NAZARETH - AL HULA - NAZARETH
 

After breakfast, you will visit Mount Tabor and the Shrine of the Transfiguration of Jesus. You will travel up to the valley of Al Hula to the main source of the River Jordan where there is the Banias Nature Reserve and ancient Caesarea of Philippi where Peter recognized Jesus as Messiah. Dinner and overnight at Nazareth.

DAY 10: NAZARETH - JERICHO - BETHLEHEM
 

After breakfast, depart for a green oasis near the Dead Sea- Jericho- which was made famous by the discovery at Tel es-Sultan, of one of the oldest cities of the Levant dating from the eighth millennium BC. To the north of the oasis, the Umayyads built a palace, Qasr Hisham, which houses beautiful mosaic floors. Visit the Mount Quarantine. After visiting the city of Jericho, you will experience the indescribable feeling of floating on the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem.

DAY 11: BETHLEHEM - JERUSALEM - BETHLEHEM
 

After breakfast, the day will be dedicated to visiting holy Jerusalem: this ancient city that has throughout its history been a place of great bloodshed. From the Mount of Olives, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the city and visit the shrine of the Ascension, Dominus Flevit Chapel, Church of the Pater Noster and the tomb of the Virgin, as well as the Garden of Gethsemane, with the Basilica of all Nations. In the Old City, you will follow the last steps of Christ along the Via Dolorosa and be awestruck by the Holy Sepulchre which houses both the place of Calvary and the tomb of Christ. After this you will see the Wailing Wall. From there you can admire the Dome of the Rock, the gem emblematic of the Holy Land, its golden dome shining brilliantly on the Jerusalem skyline; and next to it, El Aqsa Mosque, the largest mosque in the city. DAY 12: BETHLEHEM - JERUSALEM - BETHLEHEM - TEL AVIV
 

After breakfast, there will be a tour of Bethlehem where it all began. You will visit the Basilica of the Nativity, the oldest church in the world which is built over the cave that housed Christ at his birth. You will also see the Chapel of St. Jerome (who translated the Bible into Latin), the Church of St. Catherine, Milk Grotto. In Beit Sahour, you will discover the ruins of the Byzantine Monastery of the Shepherds’ Field. After continue to Jerusalem, In this unforgettable city, pilgrims and visitors retrace the greatest story ever told. Here you will discover the different areas in the old city and walk through the souk. In the evening transfer to the airport in Tel Aviv for the return flight.
